Yesterday. Gym with Lynette. Area dominated by males who lifted weight and smiled at themselves whilst looking at the mirror. But hey, if it makes em' happy about their bodies, smile away folks.

After workout, went to Tampines 1 and we both had subway and window shopped around. Went back to school after that for the Human Wheel Barrow Challenge. Was feeling tired and wasn't really in the full swing to cheers due to fatigued muscles and mind, post workout.

But we still broke the Guinness records I think, the event's on the Channel 5 News today. AND HSS WAS FEATURED, even though it was only for like 2.35 seconds or something. Could see the freshies screaming and cheering.

Went to Vivo and bought a dress and a pair of earrings. I saw this really awesome and gorgeous full length dress that I wanted to get, but it was close to 40 bucks and I was short on the dough, so I walked away grudgingly.

OOH Bad Boys was on just now. And. Men. In. Uniform. Are. So. Fine. And. Super. Sexy. Especially. With. Them. Straddling. A. Gun. And Covered. In. Sweat. And. Unshaven.

Sweet Jesus.

If our school's Indian Dance were fashioned like this, I'd happily drop dead and join them without an instant. Seriously, they should be doing Bollywood dance because it has a higher mass appeal and more recognizable, instead of traditional Indian folk dance. Not that folk dance isn't nice, but it's just that not many people even know Indian folk dance exists.

Aishwarya Rai looks absolutely stunning. I must have watched this 728 times already.

It's official.

Serene's last and final CDS that she will embark in TP will be Transnational Studies. Apparently Contemporary French fit into my timetable but it's only offered to the students in the cert programme.

Biased pigs, the lot of them.

And I signed up for dance audtions, but I'm sure I won't get in. I mean yeah I dance - belly dance - but its a totally different league from contemporary and hip hop dance. Seriously, look and me, and look at people like Nicole, Hakeem and Shuana.

They're born hip hoppers.

But I really really really want to dance. Not because of losing weight or being cool or whatever, but because I really really REALLY enjoy it. What better way is there to express yourself than through the flamboyant art of dance?

Can they not sense my passion?
Can they not sense my soul?
Can they not judge my ability because of one failed audition that carries no validity and reliability on my dance skills?

I guess if auditions go bust I'll focus my energy on my belly dance. If only my lessons were like 2 or 3 hours long, instead of 1 and a half hours.

I wish I were in TPDE =/

I have

(1) decided to drop Transnational Studies because I would rather focus my efforts on main subjects in Sem 2 than stay over and having to think about TNS presentations and whatever,
(2) signed up for auditions with You Jing
(3) decided that I need to increase my workout

Went to Bugis Junction today to walk around and stuff and I bought this really amazing necklace and matching ring which I fell in love with at 1st sight.

Went home and went on the treadmill for like 30 minutes or something, because I had nothing to do. Seriously I hate being at home with nothing to do. I’ll get bored and then I’ll eat, then I’ll feel guilty and feel like crap.

I need to find something to do.

EDIT:

Oh god Miss Elizabeth Tan apparently called while I was out jogging and it seems that there isn't any available slots left for Human Health and Diseases.

This cannot be happening

My life is in shades of grey now.

Decided to watch The X Files on Star Movies

Damn Mulder is toally good looking.

Today's lecture started at 9am today and it was HR lecture. I was totally bummed out initially because, well it was HR and I had wanted to get Counselling, but it clashed with TNS. So I decided to sit there and listen and I after a while I felt that whatever we're gonna learn makes sense?

With the whole PBL thing and stuff, and I felt that it's a good experience to go through and than I started thinking about what Prashant said about TNS and I got all confused about whether to drop TNS and HR. So I went to see Mr Chua and he sat down with me the pros and cons of not taking HR. Well he and the HSS teachers recommend HR to us all since it's a marketable subject and will be beneficial for us in the future.

So I think I'll be sticking to HR, and shall take Counselling next semester with Shu Yun (:

Shu Yun - group project mate for APIP
Shu Yun - group project mate for HR

I sense the connection BABAYE

Cassandra than told me what the TNS briefing was all about and I STILL have to think about it. It starts next semester, not this sem. And we'll have to stay in school overnight for 3 weeks.

3 weeks with no television ( I can handle that, I think)
3 weeks with no proper showers ( I can handle that. NOT)
3 weeks with no Bobby ( I canNOT handle that.)

And I thought I loved camping.

I shall go for the next briefing again on Thursday before making my final decision. I discussed this with Mum and she said "If you like it, than go for it." Hmmm.

Lynette had Counselling today at 6pm, and school ended at like 11am? So we ate lunch after her meeting with Miss Marie, then I accompanied her to the library til like 2 ish & went back. Poor Nette - having to wait around til 6. Seriously, out timetable is horrid.

CCA Recruitment Drive is tomorrow. And it’s the start of my impeding fate.
Seriously, I love to dance. But I’m not trained, and if you teach me and proper choreography, I’ll practice & won’t let you down. But I think I’m not even good enough to join the dancers in TPDE =/

Mr Bean in this video makes me feel better.

Monday, April 20, 2009

no.
oh no.
if I get in counselling
then lecture is at 6pm on tuesday
and my dance is at 7pm on tuesday
and lecture ends at 7pm on tuesday

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
oh god my life is in ruins now.
1st day of school.
And it was great meeting all the other HSS peeps again (:
And I'm dropping HR and Trans-national Studies.
Because HR, is definetly NOT something I want
and
TNS
has crammed my schedule.
Which means missing 3 weeks worth of dance & Spanish
and I'd rather burn in hell than miss both of them.
Oh I'm going to be watching Journey of Cleopatra next Thursday (:
My dance teacher will be performing and I SO cannot wait to see her!
Darn.
HR lecture at 9am tomorrow.
I hate lectures that start at 9am.
Oh well.

The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground.

Whoo.

Done with orientation camp for HSS.
And it's been an amazing time.
The juniors bonded together which was fantastic.

Knowing each other better and all.And seeing some of our guys without their shirts on when they sleep was an experience.

I was pulled in to learn a whole hip hop chereography from Hakeen, Nicole and Shauna.
And I was really struggling with remebering everything and stuff.

I'm still so demoralized by it all.
Maybe its a sign that I'm not cut out for hip hop?

Possibly.
Oh well.
I really do want to learn hip hop dance.

But overall, the camp was great.
Kudos to the committee who pulled this off.

All of us - GLs, ICs, Log team, Programme and Food team made it a huge success and an experience worthwhile to remember (:

Shauna and I - GLs for the Mohingans (:

Your Inner European is Italian!

Passionate and colorful.

You show the world what culture really is.

Tomorrow. Final presentation. Which I think I am going to SUCK at.
Wednesday to Friday. HSS Camp.
Thursday. Submit post trip report. Of which I found out from Cass that the global event we need to include, is NOT what we went through in China.
Bugger.
So much to do.
So little time.
No wonder I binged.
Kill me.

Saturday, April 11, 2009

spent the whole day editing and editing my group's combined PowerPoint slides
my eyes are burning
I'm tired
oh
and
I binged after lunch.
and I felt super super super super super guilty after that

seriously i need to control my emotional eating habits
i found out I got my eating habits from dear old mum.
which kind of sucks
coz my mum may eat a lot, but she's taller than me
and I'm like what 15cm shorter than her?

anyway
whilst editing PowerPoint slides
i watch Pocahontas, Aladdin and A Bug's Life on youtube.
Disney cartoons are just so freakin' awesome!

John Smith is gorgeous, even though he can't sing.
And he has a great bod too.
Shame he didn't take his shirt off in the movie though.
Then how awesome would THAT be?

It'd be so awesome if Pocahontas married John Smith in reality.
She married Thomas Rolfe instead, and supposedly died from smallpox :(
At least she didn't get together with Kocoam.
He's so stiff and rigid and totally unromantic. AND
He has long hair!

Bleh.

There's also a Hollywood movie about John Smith and Pocahontas.
Called The New World, starring Colin Farrell this actress, who is real pretty,
called Q'orinka Kilcher.

She's something like Native-American-Swedish and she looks so Red Indian.
Perfect for the role of Pocahontas.
Plus she has a real powerful voice.

Colin is so darn freakin' hot.
He's so bad boy. AND he's rugged AND he has a beard!

(goes weak in the knees)

I'm sorry. It's another gene mutation, not abnormality.

Coz, my dad was NOT rugged, nor did he have any strand of facial hair whatsoever when he was a young man lusting after my mother.

DARN.

All these male characters in the movies are like "perfect husbands". Makes me want to have a guy of my own right now. But after a while, the feeling just fades away.

Bugger.

Shall attempt to start on my post trip report nowand submit it asap, since submission date is on the 16th, and I have camp that day.

it's easy to beautiful, but sometimes difficult to appear so.

Today's GC Consultation went surprisingly well.
Though it felt like I presented to Ms Street my entire part of the presentation
and
there's nothing else I can edit about my slides except put pictures and reference =/

darn.

hung out in the library with cass, steffi & you jing
and we talked about the good, the bad and the ugly when we were in China.
headed down to Dhoby Ghaut to try & find O School
but
walked for a while and couldn't bloody well find the sign Bencoolen Street.

so I asked Shauna and told her where I was and she was all "its near 7-11"
which I passed by a while back so it was a little frustrating.
and it was raining.

oh well.
i'll try again next week.

then went to City Hall
to pick up my intermediate spanish cert.
am wondering if i should sign up for advanced spanish.
am afraid i won't have time.
i shall think about it.

then went to Bugis to meet Shi.
bought 2 pairs of earrings and 3 bracelets there.

god i love my new earrings.
they're chandelier and they simply r-o-c-k.

and so ends another boring day of my life.
i'm sorry, but I cannot wait for school to start.

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

I spent the much of the whole trying to come up with cheers for my, and Shauna's empire for the HSS freshie camp and I'm real tired.

Nette said at least 7 cheers. And I'm busted. I have a flu today, which was weird because it was so sudden and I still have a dry cough. My jaw hurts for some reason, which could be due to the constant sneezing.

Consultation tomorrow for GC project with Miss Street at 2pm. Meeting Shi at 7.15pm at Bugis.

I listened to songs on youtube at the same time.

1) Can't Get You Out of My Head - Kylie Minogue
2) Disturbia - Rhianna
3) Colors of the Wind - Pocahantas OST
4) Ishq Kamina - Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khhan
5) Womanizer - Britney Spears
6) Red Blooded Woman - Kylie Minogue
7) Slow - Kylie Minogue
8) Chocolate - Kylie Minogue
9) Lip Gloss - Lil' Mama
10) Candy Shop - 50 Cent & Olivia
11) The Mummer's Dance - Lorena McKennitt
12) Confessions of a Broken Heart - Lindsay Lohan
13) So Yesterday - Hilary Duff
14) Over - Lindsay Lohan
15) Bombastic Love - Britney Spears
16) Kajra Re - Aishwarya Rai

Current favourite song : Can't Get You Out of My Head - Kylie Minogue

Holy mother of God I just read an email from Miss Street about the GC consultation requirements. DAMN IT. I don't have em' all.

This sucks. Seriously.

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

I am determined, and shall now embark on a journey to learn the movements before the Actual Day so I will be qualified to part of them.

Sunday, April 5, 2009

So I have come back from China.

Our flight was delayed for almost 2 hours, but nonetheless, we all enjoyed ourselves during the 6 hours journey home. I seriously cannot believe that 7 day passed by so quickly. I didn't even miss home at all. Beijing is seriously an amazing place and I totally enjoyed being there with the student body of GC, especially my awesome T01 classmates (:
Then come the sad bits. It was really dry and cold in China and the area surrounding my lips were so dry and crappy. My hair got really dry as well and I had a hard time combing it when I was trying to wash my hair. I wasn't used to the greasy spring/winter food there and Cass and I were novices when it came to bargaining and we got "cheated". It still makes me angry just thinking about it.

I didn't take a lot of photos there, but I shall upload 3 photos of myself at the Great Wall of China because that was my favorite memory. The rest shall be on Facebook, which...I guess will take 16 years for me to put up.
6th April - GL meet up at
8th April - Post-trip report submission at 12pm at HSS office
13th April - 2nd Project Consultation
16th April - Project Presentation.
Does anyone know how the lives of Singaporeans are culturally connected to those within the ASEAN region? Your input will be MUCH appreciated and highly valued.
Gracias.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009

Woke up at 5am today because we had to do tai'chi at the park today. It was really really cold in the park and I had only a jumper, track pants and my winter jacket on and I was shivering like mad! Then there were other people playing badminton in the park and jogging. Jogging.

So we had tai'chi for an hour, had breakfast at the hotel and headed t the Shaliwen Rehab Centre for children with speech and hearing disabilities. Darn they were soooo adorable! All dolled up in their thick jackets and running round the place and screaming.

Unfortunately, they didn't exactly understand what we were saying, and they were frightened by my transition glasses and didn't want to come near me s I had no remove them and go blind. The worst was that I really really needed the bathroom and stupid enough, the toilet there catered to little kids only, not for adults. Which really pissed me off, no pun intended, but STILL

Oh, and there was the visit to the Ren Ai Elderly Care Centre and I was expecting it to be a wast of time, but it totally wasn't. I was in charge of games for the old folks so I was walking to the front and then this old man suddenly grabbed my jacket sleeve and asked me to sit down so I did. Then he gave me a piece of paper with a Chinese poem and asked me to read it. I almost dropped dead, coz I didn't know some words, but I managed and he clapped and said I was good!

YEAH.

Oh, and he kept wanting to take pictures with all of us. Cass and I met these 2 old women and they loved talking to us so much, they wanted to bring us to visit their rooms! Initially we were afraid that we might not be allowed to, but we got the go ahead. One of the old ladies kept holding onto my hand from then, right til I got onto the bus. She was afraid that I would back out of my promise.

They were really sweet and made us sit on their bed and showed us their room, where they slept and all. They also gave us sweets to bring back (: Well we all gave them photo frame with pictures that we took with them as gifts. Then after we left, we fond out from Miss Lin Da that they were so happy and touched that foreign visitors came to see them, that the kept looking at the pictures and cried, because they were so happy to have people talk to them!

Awww. I was really moved by it as well.

Oh and we saw the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube - landmarks for the Olympics - and we took photos and all. It was huge and awesome to see the landmarks, but it wasn't open to tourists. Then we went to shop at this shopping street market, meant for tourists so it was a little ex - and I bought a doll dressed in the traditional costume worn by women of the Qing or Han dynasty or whatever. AND I ate smelly bean curd, which was awesome. The smell was grotesque, but the bean curd was yummy and spicy.

Had Peking duck for dinner and I binged. I don't know how come. But I felt really guilty. Like I said, will go on a diet when I come back from China. I put on, probably 5kg or something. I feel fatter now.

Bugger,

Tomorrow we need to get up at 5.30am, eat breakfast and 6.30am, check out and get on the bus at 7.30am sharp to catch the bullet train to go Tianjin.

Real tired now.

Out.
