Something my mum said to me last night kept me up for an hour or so: I'll be on my own in L.A.
Well. Not entirely on my own. I'll make friends and meet people, and other NTU students will be going too. But the reality here is that I'm not traveling to L.A with friends that I know. I'm the only student that I know taking the subjects that I'm taking. I'm the only student doing modules to complete general prescribed electives, whilst others are doing their core electives.
It's not like in Adelaide, where I'm was with friends that I know and whom I trust. Adelaide is safe. Much safer than L.A can ever be.
People have guns in L.A.
Is this really happening?
