"Billie jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one,
But the kid is not my son "

Mum went to Compass Point today and bought Michael Jackson's Dangerous World Tour: Live in Bucharest, and the family watched the late Michael Jackson dance his way through all our favourite M.J songs.

Billie Jean is definitely my favourite song ever since I first heard it a few years ago. Along with the song Bad, Thriller and You Rock my World.

It's such a shame that Michael Jackson had to die at such a young age. He's a God. Seriously no one sings better than him, no one moves better than him, no once dances better than. Hell, no one can BE the next King of Pop BUT Michael Jackson. Back off Justin Timberlake.

With Michael gone, Pop is gone. There isn't a point in Pop anymore if Michael Jackson is gone. There just isn't. I mean just WATCH the video. Look at how he grooves and moves across the floor. That's his own style. His own choreography people, his own. He don't need to special appearances by other singers like other concerts to promote his tours. Hell he even CREATED the Moonwalk all by himself which no one but 5 people knows. He doesn't copy the songs of others. He has such a unique voice. He's a God.

Darn my greatest ever desire was to watch Michael Jackson perform. My aunt watched him sing when he was in London and she swore it was one of the best concerts she ever saw. People actually fainted and went hysterical. I'd probably scream my butt off and faint as well. I mean COME ON people it's MICHAEL JACKSON

It's funny how people don't really bother about famous singers as much as when you're dead. Look at Mother Theresa. It was only until she DIED, did everybody started worshipping the woman and saying how great she is, but when she was alive, all everybody did was throw tomatoes at her.

The same goes with Hitler. When he was alive, all everybody did was secretly mumble and curse and swear at him. But only until he's DEAD, did everybody else started worshipping and idolizing him. Complex, the human nature is.

But anyway, Michael Jackson is such a rocking God. He's on the news everywhere. And I mean, everywhere. Every news channel I turn to, be in CNN or BBC, the news anchor seems to be talking about the death of MJ and updated news of the latest juice.
I always dreamt of being serenaded by Enrique, or Michael Buble or one of the beautiful guys from IL Divo. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind being serenaded by Michael Jackson, with his song, You Rock my World.

Nobody really remembers Farah Fawcett, the beautiful woman in Charlie's Angel who created sweeping waves with her rockin' body and her famous swept-back honey blond hair.

This is one of my favourite pictures of her. But unlike MJ, she's been battling cancer during the last few years. She herself admitted and acknowledged the fact that she was a dying old sexbomb too. Shame.
Anyway, I had my tutorial for TNS yesterday. And it was OKAY I thought. We got a look at how cultural profiles and learned about this dimension called Universalism vs. Particularism, and my class was led by Mr David Teo. Did I mention Miss Street was my tutor. Not that I don't love her, but I really wanted Mr Jerome or Mr Nick for a change.
SHAME.
Started at 9am, ended at 5.30pm. With like a 3 hour break in between which was pointless. We could have ended at like 2 or 3pm. Oh and we got to look at the place where we would be staying. Not really cosy at all to my liking.
There is NO washing machine people. NO WASHING MACHINE. And no TV. I can live without the TV, but the WASHING MACHINE?
Jesus how could they leave out the freakin' washing machine? A girl NEEDS clean clothes. That's a fact of life. Clearly the person who put the furniture there was a man.
Another long day tomorrow. Monday, I end at around 7-ish. Tuesday, I end at 9pm. Wednesday, I end at 6.30pm. Thursday, I end at 5pm. Friday...I MIGHT be emceeing for the HSS AGM.
Whew.
Oh and tomorrow my bipolar disorder will act up after Developmental Psychology tutorial.

The storm has subsided. At least for now, with Rmb report submitted. I spent the last week of the term break working on a hypothesis that I thought would be good, until I realized that I couldn't directly match the Results to my hypothesis and had to re-do my Report last night.

It's funny seeing our course mates frantically discussing the Report yesterday, all smsing and IMing each other to find this out and that out. It counts for a pretty big portion too. I think its a little too much, considering the fact that it's out first ever time working solo compiling a Report on our own like this. I felt that it should be like maybe 10%, so it'll help us get a rough idea of how to do a Report in the future.

Oh and we have a new Rmb lecture called Dr/Mr. Tan. He looks pretty friendly and connects with the students. I think its because he hasn't been subsumed by the hectic and boring regime of teaching life, where you eventually morph into a lifeless soul. It's just a theory.

As a result, I had to miss my 1st ever Transnational (TNS) lecture. I think Miss Street was a little disappointed that I wasn't there. I mean considering it IS the first lecture and I don't want to leave a bad impression on her since she's my my tutor, and to the other HSS lecturers there, like Mr Jerome. Somehow they all know me by my first name.

I think I need to stop developing close rapports with teachers. I don't want them to create expectations of me and then come crashing down when I don't meet them. Especially when it comes to issues like results.

We all received results for HRM and Social Psych, and I was a tad disappointed by my results. Okay. It's more than a tad. My tears kept welling up after I got the results, cried a fair bit when I got home and stuffed myself silly sue to the hormonal imbalances and current stressors like work deadlines and other silly stuff.

I seriously need to let loose.

I am currently seeking peace and tranquility in life, sourcing the balance to regain a sense of serenity. I am seeking the Serene that has been lost from Serene. So much has been going on within my life right now, all the ups and downs that come so unexpectedly and confusing the hell out of me. I need answers .

I think I'm going through a mid-life crisis.

That's kinda cool though (:

Anyways, plans to move into Temasek Green hostel for TNS has been postponed due to the H1N1 scare, which is probably a good thing, since I haven't packed yet =/ Tutorial from 9am to 5pm tomorrow though. I wonder if I can even live through it. I mean 9 to 5. It's so...office clerk-ish.

Haven't been practicing my dance for a while, due to the fact that the dance studio is not available for lessons and mad rush of homework and assignment =/ I'm going to miss 4 lessons of Belly Dance because of TNS. Bugger.

I have decided to crack open the book that has been left sitting on my shelf for the past, 3 years maybe: The Lord of the Rings. It's real thick because it has all three trilogies packed into one but I have decided to embrace the persona of a religious Lord of the Rings fan and embark on my journey to trek through Middle Earth.

Where's my Aragorn to shield me from Orcs?
Where's my Gandalf to play my compass?
Where's my Legolas to tell me stories that bring my peace?
Where's my Gimli to bring me a laugh or two?
Where's my Sam to be my sounding board?
Where's my Frodo to tell tales of Hobbiton?
Where's Merry and Pippin to me my source of comfort and entertainment?

I shall have a big party with ice cream and dark chocolate and Boromir is not invited.

I have been eating junk food and junk food and have racked up thousands of calories for the past few days.

Okay maybe not thousand, bur a lot more. Its like my mum will offer me 1 biscuit that's worth 80 calories, the next thing I know, I've ate 5 more and 2 slices of bread. She's a bad influence. Not everyone can afford to scrouge up the time to go Muay Thai and Pilates and Gym everyday Mumy dearest.

That's almost 1000 calories in not even half a day!

Please tell me its PMS cravings. Just when I was starting to get my life turned around by telling myself that I should learn to love my body by eating regularly, I start stuffing shit into my mouth.

So I guess those 10 biscuits and 2 slices of bread were my lunch. Ok.

I cannot eat anything after that til my dinner I swear. I mean I seriously do no want to gain weight, cause my mum bought this really nice white blouse and I refuse for any weight gain to show. I shall jump on the treadmill later and work my butt off.

I think its also due to stress, especially RMB, because I just found out I can't really properly explain my findings that way I want it to and last night for some weird apparent reason, I couldn't think of a reason to support my prediction, and I just flopped onto my bed and started wailing my eyes out.

Bummer.

No hip hop practice yesterday due to the fact the Gin has some dance competition on. Next week too, which mean no dance for 2 week.

Bugger.
School starts tomorrow, and TNS starts Thursday, which means I'll be moving into school on Thursday!

CAN'T WAIT

So dance lessons have officially started and I am seriously in love with them.
This week for Modern dance we learnt how to do turns and pirouettes,
which were awfully nauseating.

I can't spot right and I kept going dizzy and walking around in circles, clutching my stomach on the verge of puking. But all in all it was awesome fun.

I also attended Salsa Hip Hop and Locking workshops at Dance on Us.
Salsa Hip Hop is THE BOMB. Its a fusion of salsa and hip hop and its funky yet sexy at the same time. The teacher, Yenny, came up with this routine which was so awesome and I loved it. I learnt some of the basics in Salsa and it came super natural for me. A lot of hip movements and body isolations that were similar to Belly Dance so I learnt it pretty okay. Having to combine steps from salsa and hip hop was a little more challenging because you have to add the twist, but I managed and I must say it looks pretty darn hot, even if I say so myself.

I put my name down my the next class starting so hopefully a class would open and I can learn!

I found Locking a little weird though. I mean, doing wrist and elbow turns were fun, but I didn't think it was me. At least it was an experience though.

I am attempting to do RMB report now and the discussion section is literally dragging my ass down the line.

I suddenly have a fetish for listening to my childhood Disney songs.
"Prince Ali" - Aladdin.

Had my first ever Modern Dance lesson today and it was simply the bomb!
The dance instructor is such a funny ass guy and he dances Jazz really gracefully.
Serious, yet he injects some warmth and kookiness into his teaching methods.

Did stretching and plies today. It was kind of like a mini downscale cardio workout.
Stretchings, splits, push ups and ab workouts.
I was pretty okay with them, because I've been doing them pretty regularly after my run.
But still, as we progress, its gonna get tougher.

I'm pretty sure that after a while, my excess pounds will drop off. I mean I WOULD LIKE to lose like erm 2kg?

Oh and I had lunch with Jia Li today at hougang point. She still looks the same as ever and as kooky as ever. We caught up on whats happening with our studies and lives and also of the old days in school. Damn I miss hanging out with her, especially during secondary school.

Oh well we're still friends and that's the awesomest thing (:

Anyway I've got a Cross Cultural Psych meeting tomorrow in school at 11am which means I gotta wake up early and spend an hour to get to school. Dang.

Maybe I can have Pastamania for lunch. I'm dying to dry the Caesar Chicken Salad there. My sis says its yummy (:

Ooh and Mum bought me a white blouse from Mango and a pajama set. Apparently the pajama set is for me to use when I stay over in the hostel from TNS next term. When I tried it out, I was...well...awkward-ded. I mean the shorts were super short. And the top, it made my wide shoulder stand out so much, and made me so much more aware of my much hated fish tummy. Darn my day was ruined just like that.

need to.
lose weight

need to stop eating crap.
need to start RMB interview. damn.

Well tests are finally over. Developmental Psych was a huge blowout. I barely had time to complete and really write out the 5 essay questions and I was freaking out when there was just 15 minutes left to go.

I'm still upset about it. But I went shopping and lunch lunch with Lynette at Tampines Mall. We ate our Subway meal and managed to catch up on what's happening if our lives. Boys, clothes and other little niggles that just crack us up.

My dad gave me $100 in honor of my birthday on Thursday, so I bought this halter top that was on sale from Puma. Nette bought a swimsuit and a pair of shorts. The sale's like the ones where its smack in the middle of the mall and that discounted clothes are put in carts and jumbled up and mad people reach out and grab them randomly and toss it back into the pile. So there I was, trying to pick my way through the clothes and feeling weird, because honestly it was like my 1st or 2nd time buying non-store-bought clothes.

I like buying clothes where they're hung on proper hangers and browsing the place where the proper shoppers are with proper sales ladies and proper atmosphere.

Lynette saw this gorgeous jacket from one of the sports retail outlets and apparently her height was at a disadvantage because the railing was a tad too high and she tiptoed to reach it, but to no avail and she was went "Serene!" and flapping her hands and gesturing toward the jacket "I can't reach" Honestly I burst out laughing on the spot.

Oh and I watched Terminator Salvation by myself after that! It was simply AWESOME. I mean somehow watching a movie alone and really enjoying it by yourself is rather...a reflecting and peaceful thing and besides, I like spending some me-time alone once in a while.

Plus, it'll be weird, if my friend saw how much pain I was in from grinning too hard when I saw Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. Those 2 gorgeous men are such hits with me and I was smiling furiously.

It funny because somehow in movie with love themes, the guy meets the girl, then the girl gets into trouble and the guy saves from the baddies and they get snug and close because of the whole "he just saved me" aura.

In Terminator, one female character, Blair Williams got her butt saved from nasty gangsters from Marcus Wright ( played by gorgeous Aussie Sam Worthington), then after that they get closer and more snug and she leans on his strong chest and somehow he willingly lets her do it.

Sheesh here in boring Singapore if I ever do that, like suddenly ask a guy if I can lean on his chest because I want to get warm, he'll probably freak and think I'm some crazy-ass desperate cow.

It sucks seeing movies like that because the guy ends up being a good husband and loves his wife and vows to protect her and whispers sweet nothings in her ear.

Darn.

I know I know. I don't need a man.
I don't need a man.

But

I want a man!

AAAHHHH.

Does anyone if thosai, which is a type of Indian food, healthy, or is it fattening?
