There's also a Hollywood movie about John Smith and Pocahontas.
Called The New World, starring Colin Farrell this actress, who is real pretty,
called Q'orinka Kilcher.
She's something like Native-American-Swedish and she looks so Red Indian.
Perfect for the role of Pocahontas.
Plus she has a real powerful voice.
Colin is so darn freakin' hot.
He's so bad boy. AND he's rugged AND he has a beard!
(goes weak in the knees)
I'm sorry. It's another gene mutation, not abnormality.
Coz, my dad was NOT rugged, nor did he have any strand of facial hair whatsoever when he was a young man lusting after my mother.
DARN.
All these male characters in the movies are like "perfect husbands". Makes me want to have a guy of my own right now. But after a while, the feeling just fades away.
Bugger.
Shall attempt to start on my post trip report nowand submit it asap, since submission date is on the 16th, and I have camp that day.

Today's GC Consultation went surprisingly well.
Though it felt like I presented to Ms Street my entire part of the presentation
and
there's nothing else I can edit about my slides except put pictures and reference =/
darn.
hung out in the library with cass, steffi & you jing
and we talked about the good, the bad and the ugly when we were in China.
headed down to Dhoby Ghaut to try & find O School
but
walked for a while and couldn't bloody well find the sign Bencoolen Street.
so I asked Shauna and told her where I was and she was all "its near 7-11"
which I passed by a while back so it was a little frustrating.
and it was raining.
oh well.
i'll try again next week.
then went to City Hall
to pick up my intermediate spanish cert.
am wondering if i should sign up for advanced spanish.
am afraid i won't have time.
i shall think about it.
then went to Bugis to meet Shi.
bought 2 pairs of earrings and 3 bracelets there.
god i love my new earrings.
they're chandelier and they simply r-o-c-k.
and so ends another boring day of my life.
i'm sorry, but I cannot wait for school to start.

Nette said at least 7 cheers. And I'm busted. I have a flu today, which was weird because it was so sudden and I still have a dry cough. My jaw hurts for some reason, which could be due to the constant sneezing.

I listened to songs on youtube at the same time.
1) Can't Get You Out of My Head - Kylie Minogue
2) Disturbia - Rhianna
3) Colors of the Wind - Pocahantas OST
4) Ishq Kamina - Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khhan

So I have come back from China.
Our flight was delayed for almost 2 hours, but nonetheless, we all enjoyed ourselves during the 6 hours journey home. I seriously cannot believe that 7 day passed by so quickly. I didn't even miss home at all. Beijing is seriously an amazing place and I totally enjoyed being there with the student body of GC, especially my awesome T01 classmates (:
I didn't take a lot of photos there, but I shall upload 3 photos of myself at the Great Wall of China because that was my favorite memory. The rest shall be on Facebook, which...I guess will take 16 years for me to put up.

So we had tai'chi for an hour, had breakfast at the hotel and headed t the Shaliwen Rehab Centre for children with speech and hearing disabilities. Darn they were soooo adorable! All dolled up in their thick jackets and running round the place and screaming.
Unfortunately, they didn't exactly understand what we were saying, and they were frightened by my transition glasses and didn't want to come near me s I had no remove them and go blind. The worst was that I really really needed the bathroom and stupid enough, the toilet there catered to little kids only, not for adults. Which really pissed me off, no pun intended, but STILL
Oh, and there was the visit to the Ren Ai Elderly Care Centre and I was expecting it to be a wast of time, but it totally wasn't. I was in charge of games for the old folks so I was walking to the front and then this old man suddenly grabbed my jacket sleeve and asked me to sit down so I did. Then he gave me a piece of paper with a Chinese poem and asked me to read it. I almost dropped dead, coz I didn't know some words, but I managed and he clapped and said I was good!
YEAH.
Oh, and he kept wanting to take pictures with all of us. Cass and I met these 2 old women and they loved talking to us so much, they wanted to bring us to visit their rooms! Initially we were afraid that we might not be allowed to, but we got the go ahead. One of the old ladies kept holding onto my hand from then, right til I got onto the bus. She was afraid that I would back out of my promise.
They were really sweet and made us sit on their bed and showed us their room, where they slept and all. They also gave us sweets to bring back (: Well we all gave them photo frame with pictures that we took with them as gifts. Then after we left, we fond out from Miss Lin Da that they were so happy and touched that foreign visitors came to see them, that the kept looking at the pictures and cried, because they were so happy to have people talk to them!
Awww. I was really moved by it as well.
Oh and we saw the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube - landmarks for the Olympics - and we took photos and all. It was huge and awesome to see the landmarks, but it wasn't open to tourists. Then we went to shop at this shopping street market, meant for tourists so it was a little ex - and I bought a doll dressed in the traditional costume worn by women of the Qing or Han dynasty or whatever. AND I ate smelly bean curd, which was awesome. The smell was grotesque, but the bean curd was yummy and spicy.
Had Peking duck for dinner and I binged. I don't know how come. But I felt really guilty. Like I said, will go on a diet when I come back from China. I put on, probably 5kg or something. I feel fatter now.
Bugger,
Tomorrow we need to get up at 5.30am, eat breakfast and 6.30am, check out and get on the bus at 7.30am sharp to catch the bullet train to go Tianjin.
Real tired now.
Out.
